Dementia is a real part of American culture. It's a reality for the 65+ population and a real concern for families who are unprepared for transitioning from son/daughter to caregiver/decision maker for loved ones.

Are you a Caregiver? Do you work in a hospital or a Nursing Home? Are you a Social Worker, CNA, or licensed Nurse? Your license/certification requires annual training. Join a class and learn: Fundamental education on Dementia & Dementia Care to enhance the quality of life through Dementia Education. Foster Sensitivity and respect for Dementia clients. To teach Communication techniques. Identify common causes of aggressive, repetitive, sundowning behaviors in older adults. Describe behavioral/care interventions that may be used to prevent, reduce, and eliminate difficult care situations. Describe challenges related to caregiver stress and utilize stress reduction techniques. Learn how to develop a wondering preparedness team. Address issues of sexuality in the patient who suffers from dementia.
**Registration**
CEs are available through the National Council of Dementia Practitioners. Instructions for the CE application are in the manual.
Fee: $200.00 per person, Includes Student Notebook, breakfast, and afternoon snack. Lunch is on your own. Confirmation of registration and directions to the classroom site.
Once payment is received, you are automatically enrolled unless otherwise notified. NCCDP Practitioner has the right to cancel the seminar based on insufficient enrollment.
Registrants who need to cancel must provide written notice at least 1 week prior to the seminar date. Cancellations are refundable, less a $100.00 administrative charge (Notebook pre-purchased breakfast and afternoon snack). Substitutions may be made at any time. Continuing Education credits issued will be canceled for non-payment of the required fees.
